By Lewis W.
I bought this with the high pressure feedline, as well as the stainless steel mist line, in order to put a high pressure mist line on my patio. It was simple to hook together, and delivered exactly what was promised i.e. high pressure mist (the main difference to lower-pressure misters is smaller droplets, resulting in cooling without getting wet). The main downside is that the pump is somewhat noisy, so is best located a little ways away from the patio; I dug out a hole and placed it in a plastic box, which dramatically reduced the noise level.I would certainly buy this again.

By Rocklin Doc
This pump produces 1000psi, which allows you to hook it to a high pressure misting kit to provide a mist that cools you, but does not leave you feeling moist. I have it hooked into a total of 14 nozzles (the maximum recommended for this unit) over a backyard patio area that measures about 25 feet wide by 15 deep. The area DEFINITELY is MUCH cooler, and it allows my toddler and her friends to play outside any time of day in the crispy summers of the Sacramento area. I do not see ANY drops of water and the area outside remains completely dry, despite the fact that the wind can sometimes blow the mist back at the house from time to time. No water spray appears on the window only a yard or two away, and this really underscores the high pressure mister's ability to produce a DRY mist.A misting system works best in areas of relatively low humidity, such what we have in the Sacramento, CA area. I am surprised that more people do not utilize misters, because we have already noticed quite a big bite taken out of our energy usage (air conditioner isn't running nearly as much). One really cool thing that we serendipitously figured out: if you are running your mist just outside your patio door, you can use a whole house fan to suck in this cool air and take the edge off the temperatures on the inside as well! As I mentioned, the cooled air is dry and the mist (at least in our arid region) does not seem to condense out of the air. That means, despite the fact we are bringing this somewhat moister air into our house to cool it off, we do not see the moisture collect on anything in the house, nor does the air seem to be particularly humid. Actually, it is a nice way to off-set the drying effect that A/C can have on indoor air quality. The other really cool thing about high pressure misting systems offer (in general) is that they are a fantastic home-improvement project for those of you (like me) who get a lot of satisfaction from building stuff but are (regrettably) just not that good it. The entire system (this pump I am reviewing plus the high pressure misting lines to which I hooked it up) was very easy to put together and install, and has a tremendous pay-off in the improvement of the time we spend outdoors in our backyard. One piece of unsolicited (but potentially helpful) advice: purchase a misting system (if possible) that has parts available in local stores. Once I got my system put together (it started with 5 nozzles), I instantly wanted to upgrade it to the maximum for this pump (14 nozzles). If I had gone with a high pressure mist system that was sold locally (like at Home Depot, Lowes, etc) the purchase of add-on (and replacement) parts wouldn't have been such an incredible headache for me.By the way, this pump should be compatible with most high pressure misting systems, but you need to also purchase the high-pressure hose that feeds from the pump to the mist line (not included). Do a search on how much pumps in this class cost and you will see what a great deal it is. I am happy with mine. The pumps housing easily comes off (2 screws) to allow you easy access to all the internal parts, making it easy to provide the oil changes that will be needed (for this or ANY pump of this kind).I spent just a few moments making sure that the pump was dampened from vibration and it is fairly quiet.Hope this helps!

By Mr. Arthur H. Geffen
I have tried the attach to hose misting system before and was woefully disappointed. After some research it turns out that for a misting system to work properly it must be under high pressure. My wife and I just finished constructing an outdoor kitchen with wood burning oven, grills, etc. In the summer in Dallas, TX, it is routinely over 100 degrees on the North Side of our home at dinner time. With this system running, everyone can be outside and be comfortable. Our thermometer outside of the curtain of mist registers over 100 degrees and inside the curtain with all cooking devices running, it is 88 degrees. When I first hooked up the pump, I thought something was wrong since the water didn't come gushing out. Turns out that is a low flow, high pressure pump and once I put the heads in the stainless lines that surround my outdoor kitchen, the mist came out beautifully. A prior review said the pump was noisy so I bought a plastic box from home depot that is used to sink valves in the ground and put the pump inside of it. However, I do not think this is necessary. The pump is relatively quiet for what it is doing. Hooking everything up was easy and if you can read and have a few wrenches, it will take only a few hours to have a professional misting system.
