I bought this to keep goats in, and it packs a nice wallop--it registered 5000V on my fence tester, using Gallagher polywire. I decided to get a solar panel for it so I could keep the battery charged, and what the heck? No amperage information anywhere--online, on the product info sheet, on the user guide. Nothing. So, I called Zareba, and they told me the output amperage was about .03. They also told me they don't suggest putting a solar panel on the battery as it might overcharge. Well...that's exactly why I needed to know the output amperage. I'm not about to haul a 50 lb battery in from the pasture every two months so it doesn't get down too far.So, I rate this product 5 stars for output, and 3 stars for documentation. Once I see how it does with a solar panel, I'll edit my review.

The fence controller works good & will get your attention. the only draw back is that the pulse light is hard to see when it comes on in the daytime.

Zareba sells a lot of different chargers,its kinda confuseing.I think they should pare it down a bit.I bought this unit mainly because it is 12 volt dc and it was priced right.I havnt used it yet.The only thing i wasnt happy about is that there is knothing telling you about the units power output,not even on the unit itself.It does look good and is packaged well.
