Three axis solid state accelerometer brake control. If you have a heavy trailer a proportional controller is the way to go. This controller is much better than a mechanical "pendulum" type controller. It doesn't matter what direction the controller detects deceleration, your trailer will brake when needed.I would highly recommend this controller.

This brake controller seems to work really well. I do not have another one to compare it to as it is my first one, but the set up works well with my Wrangler and my ~2500 pound camper. You will need the other end to connect it to your vehicle if you want to make it removable.
