I have been an active indoor/outdoor hydroponic gardener for twenty Years now. I built from scratch every system I have ever had. But this one caught my attention- for the price and quality there is no better way to go about it. By the time you add up the coat of these parts, factor in travel time to stores and the time it would take to build , for the price they charged for this unit- they have done all the work for you and set such a reasonable price - many hydro systems are outrageous in prices, but this was worth every dollar I spent on it. I strongly suggest the value and quality of this unit to novices and experts alike.

First I suggest if you are going to be using a cloner to buy a repeat cycle timer, this will keep the pump from running 24/7 and keep the res MUCH cooler. For what you pay for this isn't too bad, my only complaint is the lid, the design of the lid makes it VERY DIFFICULT to seat the neoprene properly, which will leave you with a wet surprise. The "manufacturer", Bloom Brothers needs to scrap whoever they are getting these lipped lids from and find a FLAT LID, lowes has a flat lid for 1.97$ and you will want one as well as a 1 7/8" hole saw, luckily for me I already had the hole saw bit.You don't have to change out the lid, punch a couple 1/32" holes on the bottom side of the lip, this will allow any seepage back down in to the bucket while still maintaining a light proof res.This is a 5 star product if they would use a better lid! it kicks roots out FAST!! I cloned a ROSE BUSH! of all things in 8 days!Just an update, the rose is kicking butt! I have it in a half gallon of Kempf coco and feed it with about 500-1000 ppm of maxigro and maxibloom. The white top of this product passes light into the roots and water reservoir. This product should seal the light away from the roots, it does not... How can you forget the #1 rule in water culture???? Light in the water reservoir will cause the water to turn to algae since algae needs light to survive. Poor design buddy.. hello??
