It is a good size for medium to smaller ponds. I have two of them, each on their own pump and they work just fine. I like the inclusion of the bio media but would have been nice if they had the filter pads as well. I searched for them but couldn't find the ones that were contoured for the box as the manual shows, so I ended up just buying a 24" x 24" set and cut them in half. That worked great for me.
