I have been waiting for this for a while. I saw similar ones on eBay from China - cost was about the same but with Amazon I get to deal with someone here in the states if there is an issue. I have looked at some electric scissors type jacks on Amazon but most look the same and have less than favorable ratings. Was waiting for some ratings on this one but guess I was destined to be the first!I have only had it a week and have used it two or three times. I am VERY impressed with it so far. It lifts the wheel off the ground and I even tried placing it under the engine subframe and it lifted both wheels off the ground.What kind of use will it see? Well I am a Saturday mechanic and at times need to lift my car without ramps. I have bought half a dozen jacks in my lifetime (54). They all fail after a while. The last one I bought from Sears (Torin-low profile ~$75) failed after 1.5 years and was not very well made to start with.This jack works super so far. It lifts the car in the same time as the floor jack but with a lot less hassle. Just mash the button and it goes up or down as you please. The piston is two stage to get the height. The remote has a power LED on it to let you know it has juice from the lighter plug. The jack does have a metal base. It is easy to move around with the handle. The case is nice to store it in but I must admit it is a struggle to get all of the heavy cord and remote control back in the case. The lighter plug does get warm during use and I can't help but think that a couple battery clamps would make the unit work better since you would loose all that voltage drop in the lines.In my quest for jacks I have seen pneumatic/hydraulic jacks too (Northern Tool). BUT one, I don't always use an air compressor and two, you still have to get under the car by the jack to release the hydraulics to get the car down.SAFETY-NEVER GET UNDER A CAR SUPPORTED JUST BY A JACK LIFTING DEVICE - ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS WITH THE LIFTING DEVICESo far I am a "happy camper".

Built very well, compact enough to carry in the car. Not very heavy at all. Rising and lowering is very simple. Lifting capacity works well for what it is intended for. I would not recommend for low profile cars, it will not clear undercarriage, unless you're creative. I own a C5 corvette (stock) and the jack will not clear enough to access the lifting points, but not a big deal if you carry a 2x6 wood block (roll tire on the block this creates enough clearance). I would of gave 5 star, if it was low profile and if the carrying case was built a bit better. For your everyday "average" car it would be perfect.

I have use this electric jack to work on my car and trust me you will love it- it may take few minutes but it's worth every second and saves time and back on long run.
