This was just what I needed in order to carry a 10ft camper in the bed of my 2011 Sierra 2500 4x4 and pull a 19ft fiberglass boat. I had to cut it off in order to use it as a 24 inch extension since it hit the spare tire. That is to be expected. No cutting required to use it as a 36 inch extension. Safety chains are recommended to connect this to your factory hitch. You'll also need a long trailer wiring harness to reach your truck or a wiring extension from truck to hitch. Well made.
