bought 2 of these in june. went to check the garden and 1 has already blown! Worst yet is i just spent $650 in xxxl hoods and dual arc bulbs last week for 2 systems! now i only have 1 working ballast! Tryin to work with apollo to get my 3 yr warranty goin to get my new ballast. they DO NOT work fast at all.

Recently purchased the 1000 watt Apollo digital ballast as a replacement for a magnetic ballast. It runs much cooler and is very quiet. Start up was quick without flicker. Customer service seems to be good. Had a question about the "super lumens" setting, (adds 2to 3% more to the 1000 watt setting)and got a fast reply.Overall I'm very pleased.

... less than a year later, 5 still work. They are functional and do what you'd hope. I shorted one, which also killed my timer. Then I switched out the fuse, in the ballast, and plugged it into another timer, which destroyed that timer too. The others have been working fine.
