The amount of power from this pump is amazing; so strong in fact that it broke the pvc connector which is why I gave it a 3-star rating. You will definitely get great flow, but I have not found my replacement connector yet.

When the original aquascape pump quit 3 months shy of it's 3 year warranty and left us on a Wednesday morning without any aeration for our fish, we kind of went into the panic mode. We drove to Lowe's and picked up a little mag pump just to keep some water moving until we could replace the pump . We called several in- state suppliers, non of whom had the right pump . Now you know, we could have spent an entire week on the phone and riding the roads looking for something that we might never have found , so I told my wife to log onto Amazon and see if they had one . Five minutes and two clicks later the pump was ordered and on it's way via next day delivery. Thursday , just after lunch UPS delivered the pump and by swapping out the base pump unit we were back in business . It was great to get the exact match for the pump because all fittings and connections were the same, hence an easy switch. We've bought a lot of items from Amazon over the years ,but this time they really came through for us in flying colors . The prices are always competitive , there's NO PLACE that's easier to buy from , and everything comes when promised . The aquascape pump itself worked 24-7 for 33 months with cleanings on average of 3 times per year . I'd rate it an ok pump , it's fountain cap can aerate a 500 gallon pond and it's got plenty of power to keep an external cannister filter flushing easily . It's Amazon and it's suppliers and retail partners who really shine for this purchase .
