I ordered this to serve as a cover for the reception area at my wedding. It was an outdoor lakeside wedding in Olympia, WA and the reception was held in the driveway between two garages that were close to 60 feet apart. I wanted to have that area covered just in case (we live in rainy Washington after all!). Sure enough, it was raining the day of our wedding so everything was moved to the driveway area.We nailed this tarp to one of the garage roofs then stretched it across to the other garage, with a center support rope. It is VERY heavy so it required many nails, but even with the wind and the rain, it held up very well and kept my wedding dry.The grommets are strong and the edges are reinforced with cord so even if the nails ripped part of the tarp, it was held in place by the extra reinforcements.It is a very durable thickness---I never felt any mist or moisture come through the material, yet it was thin enough to allow natural light through.Very pleased with the size and durability of this tarp. The price, even with shipping, is better than any local store I found could offer, and if needed, I would order it again for the same purpose.
